Wanting a new way to exercise that’s fun and sociable?
Do you get self-conscious on a night out or at parties?
Feel like you have no co-ordination or rhythm?
Maybe you just want to get hot and sweaty in a room full of men…?
The Gay Men’s Dance Company (GMDC) runs classes for people of all ages and abilities’, whether you want to dance for fun, fitness or just to meet new people.
You do not need any prior knowledge or experience!!!
The point of these classes is not to become a professional dancer, although you will learn dance technique and performance skills, it’s about gaining confidence in moving, improving rhythm and co-ordination, increasing general fitness and flexibility, meeting new people and all while having fun!
New to 2016, we’re also starting: Pole Dancing lessons, an excellent form of exercise and one of the best ways to increase your flexibility and strength. A Choir and Drama lessons, giving members a look at the other subjects within the Performing Arts.
On top of all of the classes we offer we also have a very active social community, with many opportunities to get involved in our numerous events, trips, nights out and performances.

“The GMDC has been an exhilarating experience for me so far. Not only do I find the stretches and warm-up beneficial in toning and increasing my flexibility in my other sports such as running and swimming; I have found a new hobby in an environment where I’m encouraged to improve my dancing confidence and knowledge.” – Simon, 27, Commercial Analyst.
